About Mustaches that Matter
What is a mustache?
mus·tache (noun): a strip of hair left to grow above the upper lip.
Is this a joke?
Nope, it’s real. We are serious about facial hair around here.
I want to grow a Mustache That Matters but I’m afraid everyone will judge me. What do I do?
That is not the right attitude, my friend. This is not the time to fear man. This is a time to wear your mustache and wear it proudly. Everyone will want to be you.
How do I donate?
Mustaches That Matter cannot accept check or cash donations. All funds must be donated by credit or debit card through the site. You can donate to the general adoption fund, which will go toward helping families bring children home.
Are donations tax deductible?
Walnut Creek Church is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and your gifts are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. No goods or services are provided in exchange for your contribution, other than intangible religious benefits.
When is Mustaches That Matter?
Mustaches That Matters 2017 began on February 25 and ended on March 13.
How long is registration open for?
Registration is now closed.
How do you decide which families to help?
We want to support all families through this process, however, our funds will be limited. All funds raised go toward our adoption assistance fund to help multiple families each year. Allocation of the funds is left to the sole discretion of the Mustaches That Matter board and Walnut Creek Church pastors.
Who can apply?
Any family pursuing an adoption can apply for funding, but we do request the following criteria be met:
1. At least 50% of the estimated total cost of adoption has already been funded.
2. The family has received an approved and current home study from a licensed and accredited adoption agency or social worker.
3. We ask families not to apply if your adoption has been finalized, or if you are just starting the adoption process.
